Jane Macintosh makes one-off pieces of jewellery, using traditional goldsmithing skills.
She likes to combine silver with high carat yellow and white gold to give subtle contrasts of tone and colour in
cool, symmetrical designs, using precious and semi-precious gemstones as highlights. A new departure has been to oxidise the silver in some pieces for a strong contrast and dramatic effect.
She has been inspired by the designers and artists of the Bauhaus movement and by the urban landscape in which
she lives and works.
