Having spent much of her life on the coast of South Wales Suzie Horan is fascinated by the movement and reflections of the sea and has a particular interest in ammonites. These structures are delicate and beautiful whilst being naturally strong. Her intention is to thread these qualities through each piece of work.

In her current collection of contemporary jewellery Suzie has employed the techniques of hammering and forming freely by hand with the more rigid process of pressforming. The resulting body of work is light, tactile and strong with interesting reflections.
